His journey began with training in the Commercial Aviation Program at Skywings Aviation. Dallas has accumulated vast experience throughout his career, serving as a pilot for Helijet International on the Learjet 31A and Morningstar Partners on the Hawker 900XP. His expertise in aviation and leadership brought him to Take Flight Group, where he held various roles, including Pilot, Training Captain, Assistant Chief Pilot, Chief Pilot, and Operations Manager, before ascending to his current position.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dallas is deeply committed to giving back to the community. He actively supports non-profit organizations such as the Calgary Children's Hospital, the local food bank, Brown Bagging for Calgary's Kids, and UNICEF.
Wade's expertise and calm demeanour allow him to adeptly guide his staff through even the most complex situations. His impressive track record has earned him the trust and confidence needed to consistently deliver exceptional outcomes in all areas of maintenance operations.
Wade graduated with honours from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. His career includes notable roles with SunWest Aviation Services as Quality Manager and Crew Chief and Air Canada Jazz, where he managed a fleet of 86 aircraft during a significant merger of legacy carriers. Additionally, Wade served with a private corporate flight department, handling routine maintenance and overseeing the introduction of new aircraft purchases.
Wade previously served as Chairman of the Equal Education Association of Nova Scotia (EEANS), working to secure funding for special education services in private schools.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary and CPA and CGA designations. In 1997, he entered the aviation industry as an Intermediate Accountant with WestJet Airlines. Throughout his tenure, he held roles such as Operations Accountant, C-SOx Program Administrator, and Manager of Operations Accounting.
Gene's success led him to Take Flight Group, where he progressed from Controller to his current position as Vice President of Finance. Committed to community service, he volunteers his time and expertise to various organizations, currently serving as Executive Treasurer for the World Airline Road Race and having previously held roles as Treasurer for Luxxen Condo Association, WestJet Warriors Running Club, and Alpine Frontrunners Club Calgary.
David began as a retail entrepreneur, but a search for professional fulfillment led him back to his love of aviation. He trained at Abbotsford Flight Center and honed his skills with West Wind Aviation, serving as Training Captain on the King Air 200 and Line Captain on the Beech 1900 C/D.
Transitioning to Take Flight Group, he assumed the role of Training Captain on the C501/C550 and First Officer on the C750. He briefly worked as First Officer on the Falcon 2000LX at Anderson Air before rejoining Air Partners as Chief Pilot and Training Captain, commanding the C56XL and C750 in 2018.
David oversees flight operations, training, and the mentorship of over 35 skilled aviators, SOP development, new aircraft integration, and crew scheduling. Operating within a dynamic landscape, he deftly navigates evolving regulations, ensuring safety remains paramount. In tandem with his managerial duties, he flies the Citation X and Citation XL across North America, the Pacific, and Europe.
Vik Saini, President of Take Flight Group, is driven by a deep commitment to customer experience. With a passion for excellence, he leads a dynamic team of aviation and business professionals, aligning their strengths with customer needs. Vik’s strategic vision and hands-on methods have transformed the organization, resulting in continuous growth and prosperity.
Starting his career at WestJet, Vik was pivotal in creating positive change during a challenging time. As Director of Inflight Training and Standards, he received many accolades for superior service and customer care, including the White Hat Award from the City of Calgary and the President’s Award from WestJet.
He later assumed the role of Take Flight Group’s President, earning customer trust through sound decision-making, adherence to safety standards, and fiscal responsibility. Take Flight Group is Canada’s only jet operator with four safety accreditations.
Vik holds an MBA from Ivey Business School and remains dedicated to serving the community. He sits on the Advisory Council of the Aviation Faculty at Mount Royal University, is a member of the Patron’s Council for UNICEF Canada, and volunteers with Community Connections at the Calgary Catholic Immigration Society.
